On the 3rd June, Gandys launched an exclusive print collection into the World's Best Department store Selfridges Oxford Street. In conjunction with this Gandys launched a huge global campaign. The concept behind the movement is that because 230,000 people lost their lives to the tsunami Gandys wants to find 230,000 people to become brand ambassadors.
By 2014 they aim to have opened their first children’s home in Goa in memory of their parents. The opening will also mark the 10th anniversary of the tsunami. The brothers have decided to focus on India first, because they did a lot of voluntary work there whilst travelling, but they dream of opening children’s homes all over the world.
Rob said “Usually brands like making things exclusive but Gandys is all about creating a community and spreading our message. So we want 230,000 people to become Gandys brand ambassadors! We’ve got the help of some celebrities to kick off the campaign, but then it’s up to everyone who believes in what we do to make the movement grow.”
