Culture club 

We are all globetrotters here at Gandys, who share a love for travel, other cultures, community, and making a difference in the world as best we can. We also share a passion for British community and ideas. Some of us have been born and bred here and some of us have chosen to call Britain home. This diversity brings us even closer as a community here in the UK, and we love to spend time together sharing each other’s customs and experiencing one another’s home traditions. From these multicultural exchanges we find the similarities between us all and the common threads that bring us together.

 
'Gandys First Culture Club'

Date: 31st October Theme: Halloween - American twist 

Gandys held it’s first Culture Club last night, which coincided quite nicely with our Halloween celebration! The culture we were celebrating this month was American, so there were burgers, pumpkin pies, and candy corn in ABUNDANCE.

Whilst indulging in the fine fare of our friendly neighbours to the west, we also celebrated the spookiest holiday on the calendar. There was Kermit the Frog, Evil Mickey Mouse, Zombies aplenty, as well as a rather confusing looking character in lycra-clad trousers.

The night was filled with American jokes, American trivia, American food, American music, and well, Americans.

It was a great first Culture Club for us here at Gandys, and we are so looking forward to many more, seeing how the club evolves each month and celebrating all that the world’s cultures have to offer whilst having a heck of a lot of fun at the same time!
